Plastic painting and decorating company Electra-Finish Inc. has been acquired by metal coating specialist the Crown Group, which plans to use EFI to expand into plastics.
Electra-Finish of Asheboro, N.C., paints and coats plastic parts used in the auto, commercial truck and other industrial end markets. The companies did not disclose terms of the sale in the Nov. 4 announcement about the deal.
The acquisition is the first for Crown Group of Warren, Mich., since it was purchased by private equity group High Road Capital Partners.
Crown Group has spray coating, powder coating, cleaning, electro-coating and other painting and decorating processes for the metal industries with seven facilities in Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, South Carolina and Iowa.
Electra-Finish has plastics coating operations in both Asheboro and Spartanburg, S.C. |
